IG KP addressed Police darbar in Kohat
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Tahir has said that all available resource would be utilized for ensuring fair and peaceful election process and directed force jawan to remain neutral and fully alert and thwart every attempt creating hurdle in law and order problem. This, he said, while addressing a police darbar at Kohat police lines today. DIG Kohat, DPO Kohat and every rank police officers and jawan participated in the darbar. The IGP pointed out that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has created history of valour and gallantry acts while fighting terrorism and other confronting challenges and the international community recognized this very fact at every forum. The IGP directed the participants to serve the people with missionary zeal and spirit and work hard for quick dispensation of justice and implement writ of law at all cost. The IGP maintained that every rank officer and jawan shall play its due professional role for enhancing the dignity of the force and unprecedented sacrifices offered by the police martyrs. The IGP vowed that police welfare projects would be completed on priority basis so as to further strengthen the professional role of the force. The IGP opined that police active role was most imperative for ensuing law and order and completing all process of general election in an effective manner and directed the darbar participants to further pull up their sleeves and make best use of their professional acumen for ensuring fair, free and peaceful election in the province. Later the IGP also visited Police Assistance Line (PAL) and Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) Kohat where he was thoroughly briefed about its performance. The IGP went to each and every desk established in the PAL and personally reviewed its performance. On arrival to DRC the IGP was given warm welcome by its members. The IGP was informed that DRC Kohat had solved many big disputes (money and property issues) of the people and termed it role model for the whole province. The IGP expressed satisfaction over the performance of both public service projects. He informed that DRC truly reflects the Pakhtoon rich traditions and through PAL public confronting problems were being solved at their door step. The IGP also attended a briefing on security plan for the general election 2018 in Kohat region at DIG Kohat office where he was briefed in detail with the help of maps and charts about the security plan. The IGP directed the police high ups to maintain an exemplary law and order situation and give fool proof security to the whole election process.
