IGP KP Salahuddin Khan Mehsud has highly commended the best smart policing of the Police Assistance Lines (PALs)
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan Mehsud has highly commended the best smart policing of the Police Assistance Lines (PALs) through ‘‘One Window Service’’ which have facilitated over half million citizens in everyday police related issues throughout the province during the current year. According to details, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police established Police Assistance Lines (PALs) in all district headquarters of the province keeping in view the troubles and difficulties faced by an ordinary citizen vis a vis his/her everyday matters pertaining to police department. The project aims to redress the general public’s grievance about the presumed reluctance and hesitation of local police station staff with regards to everyday minor issues. The police Assistance Lines is offering services under one roof in theft reporting, lost item reporting, extortion, tenant information reporting, CNIC verification, vehicle verification, police character verification, police security clearance certificate, child lost and found and free legal advice to the general public. In the current year 5,84,957 citizens approached in these Police Assistance Lines throughout the province for redressal of their everyday matters pertaining to police department and they were extended needed help in a courteous and comfortable atmosphere. Peshawar stood 1st by facilitating 1,24,728 citizens followed by Mardan with the figure of 57960 and Swat 57543 got 3rd position. Charsadda PAL facilitated 12446, Nowshera 51736,Swabi 30351, Bunir 21357, Shangla 8927, Dir lower 13755, Dir Upper 5879, Chitral 32039, Abbottabad 20661, Haripur 6677, Mansehra 18247, Battagram 2170, Kohistan 1986, Kohat 24219, Hangu 12143, Karak 18603, Bannu 19385, Lakki Marwat 16230, DIKhan 16973, Tank 10705 and Torghar 537. People from different walks of life have expressed full satisfaction over the services provided by PAL to the general public and appreciated the friendly and people oriented policing culture prevailing there.
