Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan Mehsood directed to expedite registration of houses under the Tenant Information System.
On the directives of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan Mehsood, the registration of houses under the Tenant Information System is continued with full swing in the province and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has so far completed registration of 33,777 houses during the current year.
According to details, Peshawar excelled by registering 8,033 houses followed by Abbottabad police with the figure of 5,174 and DIKhan 4,533 houses, respectively. Similarly, the registration of the houses completed by other districts included Mardan 2784, Charsadda 838, Nowshera 1488, Swabi 1292, Swat 2466, Buner 486, Shangla 1, Dir Lower 414, Dir Upper 77, Chitral 162, Haripur 1812, Mansehra 767, Battagram 2, Torghar 1, Kohat 2952 , Hangu 369, Karak 50, Bannu 66, Lakki Marwat 4 and Tank 6.
In the ongoing war against terrorism, the Tenant Information System on the part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police is widely welcomed both at national and international level. One of the biggest benefit of the system is that complete data of the family of the new comer is entered into the police record at police station level and strict watch is being carried out on his/her daily activities and movement. Peshawar police has computerized all the data of tenants which is at single click away to get complete bio-data of the tenants living in Peshawar. This system has also proved a mile stone in smashing the terrorists' dens, identity of suspects without putting the innocent general public in trouble and thus ultimately led to decrease in terrorism cases in the province.
