Public facilitation and grievance redressal through "Peshawar Police Mobile App"
A total of 6674 users registered on “Peshawar Police Mobile App” since its launching in March 2018. The police also received 4895 reports on Mobile App in which 4862 were resolved while 33 are in progress.
According to details ‘‘Peshawar Police Mobile App’’ was launched for public facilitation to ensure prompt access to the police in emergency situation. The basic idea behind this system was to provide help in public service delivery to the general public by using this technology. Now the public report to the police through this system in case of any blast, incident, scuffle, robbery and dacoity etc. For availing App service, “Peshawar Police” can be downloaded from play store on any Android phone. The police instantly find out the incident spot on Google map by clicking a single button. Likewise, the nearby police stations, police mobile van and vehicle of city patrol also become alert and rush to the spot within no time. It is pertinent to note that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police was introducing new ideas for service oriented, better and effective policing and Peshawar Police Mobile App was a first step towards this direction.
Everyday more and more people are downloading Peshawar Police Mobile App which bespeak volume of the general public trust and success of this system and registration of 6674 users in a short span of time is clear manifestation of this fact. More public service delivery systems of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police are in the pipeline and will see the light of the day very soon.
