Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan visit to Abbottabad.
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan has said that police jawans who sacrificed their precious lives in line of duty are our real heroes and vowed that no efforts would be spared to mitigate the suffering of their families. He also expressed full satisfaction over the hallmark achievements of Dispute Resolution Council, Abbottabad during the last five years which bespeak volume the selfless services and devotion of its members.
These views were expressed by the IGP in a special meeting with the heirs of police shuhadda and later on his address to the DRC Abbottabad members in his first leg of tour to Abbottabad. In his address to heirs of police shuhadda, the IGP said that the police jawans sacrificed their TODAY for the better TOMORROW of the nation and the vacuum created due to their martyrdom cannot be either filled or compensated. However, he further added that no stone would be left unturned for providing all basic necessities of life to the heirs of police shuhadda under the shaheed package. The IGP further revealed that the provincial govt had been requested for creation of 200 special vacancies for enlistment of shuhadda wards which will very soon be approved. He hoped that after approval of these posts the unemployment problem of police shuhadda sons could be overpowered to a great extent. The IGP also directed the high ranking police officers present on the occasion to personally visit at the door steps of police shuhadda in their jurisdiction and apprised themselves from their confronting problems and ensure its solution at the earliest. The IGP warned that those who failed to solve the problems of the heirs of police shuhadda would be taken to task. On this occasion the heirs of police shuhadda brought problems into the notice of Police Chief. The IGP gave patient hearing to their problems and issued necessary instructions for its solution on the spot.
In his address to the Abbottabad DRC members the IGP said that arbitration is an essential part of our way of life. The IGP termed the ratio of disposing of cases of DRC Abbottabad the best one by saying that the people problems solved through this forum during the last five year are matchless. The IGP informed that the whole credit goes to its members who worked selflessly day and night for bridging the gap between the contesting parties. The IGP further informed that a young professional had prepared a "Review" on DRCs performance in which the achievements of DRCs have been enumerated in detail and we all should be proud on it.
Earlier, the Abbottabad Cantt DRC chairman General (R) Ayaz Saleem Rana while presenting welcome address said that arbitration is an integral part of our civilization. He appreciated the role of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police by launching the DRCs in the province and termed it need of the hour. He attributed the roaring success of DRCs in Abbottabad to the local police. He disclosed that the number of cases in DRC Abbottabad had increased after the year 2014 which was the ample proof of the trust of the local people on this forum. He said that it was a matter of great pride that so far none of the case of the DRC has been challenged in the court. He also presented figures of the cases disposed off in DRC Abbottabad in details. The IGP held in high esteem the performance of Abbottabad Cantt Branch DRC and distributed cash prizes amongst the police jawans who are performing duty there.
Earlier a delegation of Retired police officers also met the IGP. The police chief commended their valuable services for the department and said that their rich experience would be fully utilized for the department in future too.
