Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan met with a French Delegation.
A two-member delegation of French Embassy called on the IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan at his office in Central Police Office, Peshawar today.
They discussed professional police matters especially police training in detail. The IGP briefed the members of the delegation about the police training being imparted to the force jawans at Police Training institution. He said that special attention was being given to the training of police jawans and for this purpose all available resources were being utilized to fully equip the Jawans of latest training skill and apply these techniques in the field. They were further told that more training centers and school have been established. Beside those joint police training center has been established in Nowshera where jawans are being imparted commandos training. Ladies police are also getting commando training there. They were further informed that syllabus of the training institutions had been updated and made it in consonance with the needs of modern time. Moreover, new courses have been introduced in the training to enable the Jawans to meet the impending challenges especially terrorism in a benefiting manner. They were also briefed about the problems and difficulties confronted by the Institutions in imparting latest modern training to the jawans. The members of the delegation took keen interest in the training programme of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police and assured that necessary equipment and other necessary facilities would be provided to further harness the training capabilities and skills of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police. They also assured that different training programme would be arranged for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police jawans under the supervision of the foreign experts to enable them to especially foil bomb blasts, clear Improvised Explosive Devices, control mob handle crisis situation, improve their investigation skill and combat terrorism and saboteurs activities. The police chief thanked the members of the delegation for their intending support and cooperation in the field of training.
