Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi met with a delegation from INL.
A delegation of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) called on the IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi at CPO Peshawar today.
During the meeting police initiatives particularly building infrastructure of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police were discussed in detail. The IGP briefed the delegation about the integration of former FATA and initiatives taken for ensuring better policing in the area. The IGP informed the delegation that regular policing has been started in the Newly Merged Districts and ex-Levies and Khasadars have been merged in the police force and service structure had been given to them. Similarly several police stations have been inaugurated and complaint cells established in NMDs in which thousands of complaints are being received and addressed accordingly. Likewise traffic officials are now formally regulating traffic and issuing driving licenses to the locals.
The members of the delegation commended the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police initiatives particularly in the merged districts and assured for exploring more opportunities for assistance and cooperation. They further informed the IGP that secure infrastructure would be established for police to enhance capacity of Police force in the Newly Merge Districts added that beside establishment of four police posts fully equipped with latest modern facilities, construction of police force infrastructure was going on with breakneck speed and other building duly completed would be handed over to the police force very soon.
The IGP thanked the delegation for their support and cooperation in construction of much needed Police lines, Police stations and Police posts in the province, providing necessary equipment to the KP Police and meeting the future needs of the force. The IGP reiterated his pledge that all available resources would be fully utilized for better policing as per attached expectations of the local people.
