IGP KP Nasir khan Durrani, awarded Malakand Police
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani awarded Buner police and Malakand Canine Unit incharge respectively on excellent performance against kidnappers and successful tracking activity of the unit in a ceremony held at CPO Peshawar today.

According to details the other day one child namely Said Usman s/o Talimand r/o Ghazi Khanay student of class 1st of Shaheen Public School was kidnapped by unknown accused. He was taken to hilly area in Gokand valley and threatned to kill the kid if ransom money of Rs. 5 million was not paid to them. A team comprising on Daggar and Pir Baba police was constituted for safe recovery of the kidnappee. During investigation the police party picked up some suspected elements and on their pointation traced the hide out of the kidnappers. They raided the said place and recovered the child safely. The kidnappers had also dug a hole to dump the body of the child after executing him. The police also arrested three kidnappers namely Behroz, Sultan and Noor Zaman and recovered the car and arms used in the incident. Similarly in Malakand to test the competency of the snipper dogs the concerned authorized fired at three places on three different occasion, then hiden the weapons at 2-3 kilometer distance from the place of fire and the search was conducted through K-9 Unit dogs. The German shepherd dog Furi No 3992 was capable to track explosives through aerial smell and all the weapons hiden in three different places were tracked/ recovered successfully by the dog. Addressing on the occasion the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani appreciated the intime action of Buner police and Canine setup Malakand incharge for their hard work and commitment and directed the awardees to put their best by utilizing all their capabilities in line of duty. The IGP awarded SDPO Pir Baba Inspector Farman Ullah, SHO police station Pir Baba Sub Inspector Bakhat Zamin and Incharge canine setup Malakand Head constable Nawab Khan with cash prizes and commendation certificates.
