IGP KP Nasir khan Durrani, awarded PAS Police Officials
A ceremony was held in the Central Police Office to appreciate the services of the police personnel and other staff working in the Police Access Service (PAS). The Inspector General of Police Nasir Khan Durrani distributed Commendation Certificates and Cash Rewards among the top performers.
Police Access Service is an Information Technology (IT) based public service project of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police established for granting the public prompt and easy access to the higher officials of the police without any encumbrance. It is a state of the art complaint management and redressal system.
In this backdrop, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police established the Police Access Service in Central Police Office which not only provides prompt and swift police response but also wins the public trust by enhancing police accessibility. The public can register or record their complaints in PAS through SMS on 8855 or 03159007777, by calling on toll free number 0800-00400, by fax on 091-9223575, by email on firstname.lastname@example.org, by visiting the Police website www.kppolice.gov.pk or by visiting the PAS in CPO.
Every complaint is registered in the automated database of PAS and the complainant is intimated about the complaint code through a system generated SMS. The same complaint alongwith the complaint coded is immediately sent to the concerned SDPO and DPO through a system generated SMS. The concerned SDPO is bound to contact the complainant within 24 hours and intimated the PAS through SMS. A computer based timeline monitoring system is installed in PAS for ensuring that all the complaints are addressed within 24 hours. Since each complaint is entered in the database and assigned a unique code, no complaint has ever been over looked or ignored and is fully traceable till its disposal.
During the ceremony, the IGP was briefed that so far 11,247 complaints have been registered with the PAS since its inception on 12.11.2014. Out of these 2,104 complaints have been received through SMS, 34 by fax, 2,842 by Post, 225 by email, 1,975 online complaints, 1,422 via toll-free number and 2,645 complainants visited in person to register the complaints.
The IGP appreciated the efforts of PAS officials for the redressal of public complaints and directed them to make best use of the PAS and prove their mettle for solving the complaints of the general public in an effective manner. On this occasion IGP awarded the PAS officials with cash prizes and commendation certificates. They include DSP Aleem Jan, Rab Nawaz, Fayaz, Ladi Constable Rafia, Waqif, Mohsin Ullah, Jamshed, Bilal Hussain, Bilal Ahmad, Muhammad Altaf, Rahat Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, Kabir Ahmad, Ilyas Ahmad, Mujeeb-ur- Rahman, Wajeeh Ullah, Lady Constables Shahida, Afsheen, Zeenat, Mashi Ullah, Kashif, Saleem, Asif, Neem and Wahid.
Principal Staff Officer to IGP Muhammad Fazal was also present on this occasion.
