IGP KP Nasir Khan Durrani, thanked CM for 3 years extension in services Special Police Force
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has thanked the provincial govt for granting approval to extension in services of contract employees of Special Police Force and ex- servicemen and assured that this decision will go a long way in bringing positive impact on the over all law and order situation of the province.

According to details it had been decided to relieve the Special Police Officers and ex-servicemen from the force till 30 June this year and a notification to this effect had also been issued. This decision has badly shattered the hopes of these employees and their families. They have started taking up this issue on different forum particularly in media. They also sought help of IGP by submitting application for extension in their services. The IGP held special meetings with the Chief Minister in which the services of the Special Police Officers and ex-servicemen termed indispensable for law and order in the province as they are performing duty shoulder to shoulder with regular police officials and many of them have sacrificed their precious lives in line of duty and requested the chief minister for granting extension in their service. On the other hand the chief minister also took keen interest and accorded 3 years extension in their service by using special power delegated upon him. The IGP today sent a letter to the provincial govt in which he expressed gratitude and convey thanks to chief minister for granting approval to extension in service of contract employees of Special Police Force and ex- servicemen. The letter further read that is has been made possible only because of chief minister's keen personal interest and assured that this will further boost the morale of these personnel not only alleviate the grievances of these police personnel but will also prove instrumental in improving the over all law and order situation and creating an ambience of safety and security in the province.
