Additional Inspector General of Police Headquarters Syed Akhtar Ali Shah alongwith Deputy Inspector General of Police procurement Dr. Waqar Uddin today visited National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) Haripur. It may be recalled here that NRTC is working under the Ministry of Defence Production govt of Pakistan and manufacturing different Radio technology and security related electronic equipments. Managing Director NRTC Brigadier Tofique Ahmad briefed the visiting police officers about the various aspects of radio technology being manufacturing there. The visit was part of series of reforms introduced by Inspector General of police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani to modernized KP Police. The process to provide advance communication system had already started and jammers to break waves igniting blast have been provided to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police. The NRTC will also provide more modern communication system and jammers to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police on fast track biases basis. The modern equipments being provided to the KP police include Tele Communication equipments, Jammers , CCTV system, Baggage Scanners and other security related electronic equipments. The visiting officers took keen interest in the security related modern equipments being manufactured in the corporation and hoped the equipments being provided will enable the KP police to thwart the evil designs of the miscreants well in time in a befitting manner.
