IGP KP Mr.Salah-ud-din Khan,Swat Visit.
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salah-ud-din Khan has said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police officers would be linked with the general public through latest modern technology very soon.

This, he stated, while addressing a police darbar at Swat police lines today which was largely attended by every rank officer and jawan of different units and wings of Malakand Region police. DIG Malakand, DPOs Swat, Buner, Lower Dir, Upper Dir and Chitral were also present on this occasion. The Police Chief informed the participants that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police equipped with modern training and new technology was heading on right direction and added more attention would be given on acquiring and use of technology in the coming days. He maintained that main purpose of all these efforts i.e latest training, use of technology and establishment of new specialised schools and new units was to ensure protection of life and honour of the general public in a more effective manner. The IGP further informed that the basic purpose behind establishment of police departmental was to provide the people its due rights and vowed that no stone would be left unturned in this connection. He added that the police performing duties at police stations and in the field reflect the true picture of the police force and the honour obtained by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police was due to its hard work and sacrifices offered in line of duty. The IGP maintained that it was his top most priority to solve due problems of the complainants in due time and he will ask from the complainant about the adopted police behavour and response to them and directed the participants to give due care to the rights of the people in every circumstances. The IGP termed the police Act 2017 a mile stone in the history of police by saying that the basic theme of the Act was to make police system more judicious and transparent. He informed that police was trying hard for implementation of the Act and coming up to the attached expectations of the general public in this regard.

The police chief also informed that police shuhaddas families welfare was his top most priority and assured that no efforts would be spared for solution of their confronting problems and difficulties. The IGP informed the participants that he was well aware of the rights of the force jawans but added that people rights come first and due attention would be given to it. He informed that beside making police constables orderly room mandatory for RPOs and DPOs they have also been directed to take special care of the security of the jawans in the field. The IGP also appreciated the efforts and sacrifices offered by Malakand Region police for maintenance of law and order in the region.

In the Darbar the IGP awarded police officers and jawans who excelled against miscreants and out laws in line of duty during different police action from time to time.

The IGP also met with the members of Dispute Resolution Councils Swat and appreciated their valuable services for the solution of petty disputes and issues of the community people. The IGP informed that keeping in view the trust of the people these councils would be further strengthened in the province.

The IGP also held a meeting with the heirs of Swat police shuhadda and briefed himself about their confronting problems and difficulties. The IGP said that police sacrificed their precious lives for the nation in line of duty and the welfare of the shuhadda families will be kept above on all things.
