IGP KP MR.Salah-ud-din Khan, visit to Hazara region and addressing to police Darbar.
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan has said that police will be directly answerable to the public under the Police Act 2017 and directed force jawans to fully prepare yourselves for its implementation as per the essence of the Act .

This, he stated, while addressing a police darbar at Abbottabad today which was largely attended by every rank officer and jawan of different units and wings of Hazara Region police. DIG Hazara, DPOs Abbottabbad, Mansehra, Haripur, Battagram, Kohistan Upper and Kohistan Lower and Torghar were also present on this occasion. The Police Chief informed that there were no two opinion about the bravery, gallantry acts and unprecedented sacrifices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, however, he further went on to say that even now public have complaints about police behavour. He disclosed in order to address these problems and other complaints of public Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act 2017 has been passed. He further added that police can face hurdle and difficulties in implementation of Police Act 2017, However police have to deliver as this system was for our children and we have to give sacrifice for the betterment of our coming generation. The IGP informed the participants that due to Police Act 2017 police will get rid of outside pressure but on the other hand will be answerable to public through different forums i:e Public Safety Commission, Regional Complaint Authority and Provincial Safety Commission. The IGP maintained that we should not wait for other option but to put our own house in order and directed the participants to pull their sleeves and implement the Police Act 2017 in letter and spirit. The police chief pointed out that despite winning war against terror apprehensions still exist, foreign elements did not want to see CPEC successful and we have to keep ourselves prepare for the lingering challanges. He further informed that provincial govt was fully supporting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police for security of CPEC and hoped that all requirements of CPEC force would be fulfilled. The polce chief informed that for the last few years huge changes have been taken place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, many training schools have been established, use of technology has been increased. Similarly manpower has been enhanced and the force have been fully equipped and we are proud of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police who brilliantly fought the war against terror and kept the province safe at the cost of their precious lives. The IGP further went on to say that now police have to prove themselves as true custodian of the rights of the people. Referning to the welfare of the force the IGP informed that force jawan would get medical treatment as per standard of Army jwans, every efforts are being made to solve all official and personal confronting problems of heirs of police shuhadda. The IGP directed the jawan to face the challenging situation bravely and always stand with the oppressed people of the society and assured his full support in this connection. The IGP also informed that Dispute Resolution Councils, Police Assistance Lines and Police Access Services have been established for facilitation of the general public and directed the Jawan to make best use of all these in public interest. The IGP also appreciated the performance of Hazara Region police in tourist season.

In the Darbar the IGP awarded police officers and jawans who excelled against miscreants and out laws in line of duty during different police action from time to time.
