Registration of online FIR
The online FIR registration in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is receiving tremendous response from the public. This can be easily gauged from the fact that police has so far registered 2643 online FIRs in the province. According to details, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has worked out a Standing Operating Procedure (SOP) for online FIR registration on its officials visit As per the SOP, the FIR registration facility is available on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police website. Complainants can visit the police website and submit FIRs by filling an online form. An automatic FIR ID is generated as soon as the online FIR form is submitted. FIR details (including contact details of the complainant) is then forwarded to the concerned SHO/DPO/RPO via email. The Identity of the complainant is verified from NADRA using its VERISYS facility to minimize the possibility of fake FIRs. The SHO of the concerned police station or the complainant contact each other for registration of the FIR. When FIR is lodged, complainant is informed via website, email, and mobile/landline numbers accordingly. The instructions for the complainants are to fill the form very carefully, the fields marked (*) are mandatory to be filled. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has so far registered 2643 online FIRs throughout the province since its launching. The district wise details of the online FIR registration are Peshawar 1326, Mardan 172, Charsadda 123, Nowshera 152, Swabi 90, Swat 49, Shangla 3, Buner 9, Dir Lower 11, Dir Upper 9, Chitral 6, Abbottabad 253, Haripur 119, Mansehra 112, Battgram 14, Kohat 587, Karak 46, Hangu 22, Bannu 30, Lakki Marwat 7, DI Khan 30 and Tank 2. A total of 126 cases have amicably been resolved amongst the parties in the registered online FIRs while 139 FIR have been termed baseless and 2154 FIRs have been processed as per law. 41 cases of civil nature, one has been settled through DRC and 44 cases are under process. The complainants have been asked to contact on Telephone Number 091-9223576 and Fax Number 091-9223575 in case of any difficulties/problems. The IT staff of police department are responsible for the technical support. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police chief Salah-ud-Din Khan Mehsood have asked the general public to fully avail the facilities of online FIR registration so that good policing could be ensured as per attached expectations.
