13-member of Wazirstan Qaumi Welfare Jirga called on the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan Mehsood in his office at Central Police Office Peshawar today.

          The members of the delegation took up with the IGP the mysterious disappearance of SP Rural Peshawar Tahir Dawar and sought his help and cooperation for the safe and early recovery of the missing SP.

          The IGP while talking to the delegation said that the tribal people were targeted particularly in the ongoing war of terrorism and as a result they suffered a lot. The IGP further informed that it was encouraging to note that despite on the recovering end the tribal people faced these challenges in the best interest of the nation and fought this war shoulder to shoulder with Pak Army against the terrorists and restored much needed peace in the volatile region of the country. The IGP said that SP Tahir Dawar was precious asset of the force and assured the delegation that he himself will take up this issue on every forum and no efforts will be lapsed in the safe and early recovery of the missing SP. The IGP also informed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police was fighting the war as a front line force and all resources would be utilized for working out this case as per attached expectation of the affected family.

The members of the delegation included Malik Abdul Ghaffar, Engineer Rehmatullah, Maulana Gul Yusuf, Malik Abdul Malik, Malik Jalal, Sher Muhammad Khan, Nawaz Ali, Sher Ali Khan, Habib, Haji Babrak Mehmood Khan, brother of missing SP Ahmad Uddin and son Amjad Tahir.
