A high level meeting held in CPO regarding issues of welfare committee

              The 81st high level meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police Executive Welfare Committee was held at Central Police Office Peshawar today. Additional IGP Headquarters, who is the chairman of the committee, presided over the meeting.

          Voice Chairman Police Executive Welfare Committee DIG Headquarters, DIG Finance, AIG legal, Police Budget Officer and Secretary Welfare participated in the meeting. The meeting thoroughly reviewed the applications submitted by the cops for approval of welfare fund in different categories. The meeting took various decisions after scrutiny of all applications. The meeting approved payments of Rs. 5,03,71,222 in different categories for the welfare of the cops. The meeting also released an amount of Rs. 18 lakh in respect of burial expenses after the death of cops to the legal heirs of deceased police officials.

          Similarly 448 police officials of different units, who could not bear the treatment expenses of their ailing parents and children, were given Rs. 1,27,84,897 for best treatment, moreover 214 officials were given loan to the tune of Rs. 2,24,23,325 while 188 officials were given Rs. 69,37,000 in respect of dowry fund and Rs. 64,26,000 were released to widows of 306 police officials.

          The meeting also decided that payment of the approved amounts to all officials will be made through cross cheque so as to ensure transparency in the matter. It merits mention here that meeting of police executive welfare committee is being held regularly on monthly basis in which all the submitted applications of the police officials are being reviewed and scrutinized and sincere efforts are being made for redressal of the confronting problems and difficulties of the force jawans.
