The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan Mehsood awarded Police for their best performance
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan Mehsood has said that police jawans putting their precious lives at highest risk in line of duty are real asset of the force and vowed every step would be taken for their welfare and encouragement at any forum.
This, he said, while addressing a cash prize and certificate distribution ceremony held at Central Police Office (CPO) Peshawar today. The ceremony had been arranged in recognition of the valour, courage and meritorious service of Dera Ismail Khan Police who successfully gunned down a dreaded miscreant commander in 14 hours long encounter that took place at Gran Alam Draband Qila a few days ago. Two police jawans had also received bullet injuries in the encounter. The IGP informed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police had always excelled against the terrorists in every hour of trial by exhibiting extra-ordinary gallantry acts. The IGP further went on to say the ample proof of this fact can be easily gauged from the voluminous sacrifices rendered by its jawans in the ongoing war against terrorists. The IGP held in high esteem the courage, determination and professional acumen of the jawans who took part in this encounter and termed it bacon of light for the rest of the jawans of the police force. The IGP also hoped that DIKhan police will repeat the same spirit and bravery act against the miscreants in future, too. On this occasion the IGP awarded police officials with cash prizes and commendation certificates.
Principal Staff Officer to IGP was also present on this occasion.
