IGP KP Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan's Directions to Police high ups about ICE Manufacturers, Suppliers and Sellers
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan has directed police high ups to further pull up their sleeves and launch a well-planned crack down against the Ice drug peddlers through out the province.
These directives were issued to all Regional Police Officers and Capital City Police Officer Peshawar in a special communique from Central Police Office Peshawar today. They have been directed to come heavily on the manufactures, suppliers and sellers of drugs rather than its victims who have mostly fallen prey due to their innocence and lack of knowledge. A strict action be taken against the elements who are spreading this deadly stuff amongst the masses for monetary gains and their special target is young generation becoming victim of this menace because socio, economic reasons and abasement of society at large. The IGP directed for adoption of two-pronged strategy to effectively counter the menace by sensitizing the general public particularly the students of different educational institutions by holding seminars and arranging walks as well as conducting regular raids on the ice peddlers. It has also been stated that young generation is a precious future asset of a nation and therefore, cannot be left at the mercy of unscrupulous and self interested elements to play havoc with their lives. Police shall leave no stone unturned for providing safe and secure ice drug free society for the general public especially to the young generation. All the senior ranking police officers were also directed to furnish progress report of the action taken in their respective regions/districts against the ice drug manufacturers to the CPO on regular basis.
