Farewell party in the Honour of outgoing Office Superintendent Abdur Rasheed Khan

A farewell party was arranged in the Honour of outgoing Office Superintendent Abdur Rasheed Khan, who after 42 years of service retired, in CPO Peshawar today.
Inspector General of police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan, Additional IsGP Headquarters, Investigation, DIsG Operations, Headquarters, Internal accountability, Finance & Procurement, AIsG Establishment, Legal, Welfare and other CPO based high ranking officers largely attended the simple but an impressive ceremony.
The IGP Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan while paying rich tributes to the meritorious services of the outgoing office Superintendent said that it was a matter of great pride that he is retiring after serving the deptt for a long time with dignity and respect. He said that Abdur Rasheed thoroughly remained committed and dedicated to his service and was acceptable to all. He said that Abdur Rasheed khan wholeheartedly put his best in all assignments entrusted to him. The IGP further elaborated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police was just like a family and its real strength and power was its high values and rich tradition which distinguish them from the rest of the police force of the country. The IGP further added that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police equally respect its junior most and senior most and the hall mark of its performance was the hard work, devotion to duty and public respect. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police are known for its uprightness, professionalism, bravery and courageous acts and its jawans faced the impending challenges with steadfastness and emerged victorious against the anti-state elements. The IGP maintained that every individual of the force who promote high values and come upto the attached expectations of the general public would be encouraged and appreciated at every forum. The IGP said that it was very difficult and painful to say good-bye to the member who remained in the team for a long time, however added it was a matter of great pride and satisfaction to end govt service in a happy note and wished all success in his retired life. Earlier, Abdur Rasheed threw lights on his long and eventful career in detail. He said that through out his service he remained steadfast to the principles of hand work and devotion to duty advised to him by his father while entering into govt service. The IGP also presented special police shield and gifts to the outgoing office superintendent Abdul Rasheed.
It may be recalled that Abdur Rasheed joined police service as a junior clerk back in 1977 and served the department for 42 years and retired from the force as Office Superintendent.
