Video Conference at CPO.
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi presided over a high level meeting held via video link at Central Police Office Peshawar today which reviewed the ongoing developmental schemes being carried out under the Project Coordination Unit (PCU) throughout the province.
Director General PCU Muhammad Zafar Ali presented a detailed briefing with help of maps and charts to the IGP. DIG PCU informed that PCU unit has prepared a master plan for the infrastructure development of the police department under which a network of police developmental schemes has been drawn through out the province which included constructions and repairing of police lines, police stations, police posts, picket points and training schools. The DG PCU also briefed the IGP about the completed and ongoing projects in the province added that so far School of Investigation Peshawar, School of Intelligence Abbottabad, Watch Towers for Peshawar Airport security, police stations Azbanr, Miskini Sangipara, police post Manyal (district Lower Dir) and Hangu police lines are the accomplished projects which will be handed over to the concerned districts and units very soon. Similarly, the IGP was also briefed about the under construction police stations, police lines and other such police establishments in detail. The DG PCU informed the IGP about the scarcity of funds for in-time completion of these projects and vowed that all these projects would be completed once the required funds are issued.
The Provincial Police Officer Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi directed the PCU team to further expedite its effort and ensure completion of all schemes well in-time. They were also directed to ensure quality of work of all schemes. The IGP also approved the work plan of PCU and assured that he will effectively take up in-time completion of the police infrastructure development projects with the provincial govt. The IGP appreciated the efforts of the DG PCU and his team and assured his full support for mitigating their confronting problems and issues.
