Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi visit to Bannu Region.
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi today visited Bannu.
On arrival to Bannu police lines DIG Bannu Abdul Ghafoor Afridi and other high ranking police officers warmly welcomed the IGP. A smart contingent of Bannu police presented guard of honour to the IGP. The IGP laid floral wreath on the Yadgar-e-shuhada and offered fateha for the shuhada of Bannu Police. During the visit the IGP also planted a tree in the lawn of police lines.
Later on, IGP KP presided over a high level meeting which was attended by DIG Bannu Region, DIG CTD, DPO Bannu, DPO Lakki Marwat, DPO North Waziristan, SP Special Branch, SP CTD and other high ranking police officers of Bannu region. DIG Bannu Abdul Ghafoor Afridi gave a detailed presentation to the IGP about crimes, traffic and other related issues in the Bannu region. Addressing on this occasion the IGP Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi said that that Bannu police as a front line force rendered unprecedented sacrifices in the ongoing war against terrorism which have no parallel in the history of police. The IGP added that in the war against terror every rank police officer and jawan, from constable to Additional IGP, offered precious sacrifices of their lives which will go a long way in the annal of history and due to these sacrifices today we are living in a peaceful environment. In the meeting the IGP also briefed himself about the confronting problems of the Bannu police. The IGP termed the Bannu police performance as satisfactory and directed the police to give top priority to the protection of life and property of the general public.
Later on the IGP awarded cash prizes and commendation certificates to Bannu, Lakki and CTD police on their successful operations against dreaded terrorists.
The IGP lauded the gallantry acts, valor and professional capabilities of the awardees and hoped that in future too they will repeat the same performance for flushing out terrorists and anti-state elements from the area and will thus bring more laurels and successes for the force.
