Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi visits the site of the Temple set a blaze in Karak.
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi today visited Tehsil Banda Daud Shah, district Karak where he inspected the temple set ablaze by enraged mob the other day. Additional IGP Investigation Feroze Shah, RPO Kohat Tayyab Hafeez Cheema and other high ranking police officers accompanied the IGP on this occasion.
The IGP was given a detail briefing about the unfortunate incident of the temple. The IGP KP went around each and every section of the temple and reviewed the damages due to fire. On this occasion the IGP KP issued necessary instructions to the police high ups present on the occasion in light of his visit.
Later on, while talking to the media men, the IGP KP said that basic rights of the minorities, enshrined in the constitution of Pakistan, and their religious places would fully be safeguarded at all costs. To a question the IGP KP revealed that the investigation is going on into the incident of the temple and a formal FIR had been registered in this connection and so far 31 accused in the incident had been taken into police custody added that the remaining accused were being identified through video clips and footages and after that their arrest would be made as per law of the land. To an another question the IGP KP disclosed that minorities were enjoying equal religious, political and social rights and vowed that all possible security steps would be taken for protection of their due rights and religious places. The IGP assured that the minorities would be provided peaceful atmosphere so as to enable them to play their active role in prosperity and development of the country.
