Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi meets heirs of the deceased police personnel at Central Police Office Peshawar.
Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Sanaullah Abbasi met with a delegation of heirs of deceased police personnel at Central Police Office Peshawar. AIG Establishment and other Police officers were also present on the occasion.
The delegation informed the IG KP about their problems and demands. The IGP KP gave a very patient hearing to their problems and assured them of his full cooperation as per provisions of the Law. The IGP KP while addressing on the occasion said that Police officers and Jawan rendered unprecedented sacrifices of their precious lives in the war against terrorism, maintenance of law & order and for the protection of life and property of the people. The IGP said that as a commander of the force it is his top priority to look after the families of police shuhada and police personnel who died during the dispensation of official duties. The IG KP informed the members of the delegation that on his direction 243 heirs of Police personnel, who died during duty, had been recruited in Police department as Junior Clerk, Constable and Class-IV under the Deceased Sons Quota and that too in a very short time.
The IGP said that this is for the first time in the history of Police that a large number of heirs of Police personnel are recruited in Police department. The IGP made it clear that Typing Test was held on the direction of High Court and candidates who passed the test had been issued appointment letters and recruited in the Police department. The IGP assured the delegation that all their legitimate demands would be given sympathetic consideration as per provisions of the law. The IGP KP said that on the availability of vacant posts typing test would be held immediately and successful candidates would be inducted in Police department as per their eligibility.
