Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi informally inaugurates Police Training School Shakas in district Khyber today.
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi today visited Shakas Police Training School district Khyber where he reviewed the ongoing training session of Ex- Levies and Khasadar recruits. On arrival to the school Pak-Army and high ranking police officers welcomed the IGP. CCPO Peshawar, DIG Training, DPO Khyber, AIG Training, Director Training School and Pak-Army officers were largely present on this occasion.
Commandant Frontier Constabulary Bara Rifle Col. Nadeem Mushtaq briefed the IGP with the help of maps and charts about the basic training being imparted to the under trainee Ex- Levies and Khasadars. The IGP also witnessed different training demonstrations of the under trainee jawans i.e use of rifles and collecting evidence from the crime scene etc.
Later on, the IGP also inspected different sections of the school. The IGP also went to the barracks where he thoroughly reviewed the residential facilities being extended to the jawans. The IGP Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi while addressing the under trainees said that the tribal people played active role shoulder to shoulder with Pak Army for the security of the motherland. The IGP maintained that new era of prosperity and development of the merged districts had been started. The IGP informed the under trainee officials that after their absorption and completion of ongoing training they will be promoted to the next higher ranks as per rules and regulations which are being framed by a career planning committee constituted for the purpose. The IGP further disclosed that the recruitment of the people from merged districts had been initiated. Besides this, police of the merged districts are entitled to all perks and privileges as admissible to Peshawar police. Referring to the training the IGP pointed out that training was very important for the professional career of the Jawans and reiterated his pledge that Shakas Police Training School would be made a great seat of learning in respect of standardized training added that beside basic training in-service different trainings would also be started there. The IGP thanked Pak Army for imparting best training to the Ex- Levies and Khasadars.
Director Police Training School Abdul Haye briefed the IGP about the Academic block, Administration block and Jirga Hall established in the school. It may be recalled that the IGP Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi had approved and issued notification of the establishment of police training school a few days ago.. The IGP Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi also performed the soft opening of the school. Speaking on this occasion the IGP thanked the provincial govt for handing over the school to the KP police.
Later on, while talking to the media men the IGP held in high esteem the help and cooperation extended by the Pak-Army for the training of the Ex- levies and Khasadars. To a question the IGP said that absorption process of the tribal areas would soon be completed and so far various police stations had been established in the merged districts. To another question the IGP revealed that a summary would be sent to the govt for increasing the salaries and other incentives of KP police on the pattern of Punjab police.
