Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi visits CTD HQRs Peshawar to review progress of revamping of CTD KP.
Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi visited the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) headquarters, Peshawar. The IGP KP was received by Addl: IGP HQRs, DIG CTD KP and other high ranking police officers. The IGP KP chaired a high-level meeting at the CTD headquarters. The IGP was briefed on the revamping of CTD especially its expansion to newly merged districts and provision of required equipment and manpower. The IGP was also briefed in detail on the progress made so far in the revamping of CTD.
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP appreciated the role of CTD in rooting out terrorism and maintaining law and order in the province and said that KP Police was always ready to defeat anti-state elements in a befitting manner on all fronts. He directed the senior police officials to further strengthen close ties with other law enforcing agencies so that the nefarious designs of the miscreants could be thwarted in a timely manner.
Later, the IGP KP visited the Telecommunication Headquarters Peshawar. The IGP was received by DIG Telecommunication and other senior police officials. On this occasion, the IGP inspected 100 newly purchased heavy bikes for traffic. DIG Telecommunication gave a detailed briefing to the police chief. The IGP inspected the Provincial Wireless Control Room at the Tele Headquarters. Briefing the IGP about the modern MSO at the Tele headquarters, he said that all the communication systems are controlled from here. He further informed that in from here it was ensured that the communication system run smoothly and safely. The IGP was also briefed on the wireless repair workshop.
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP said that in view of the importance of communication system, all resources are being utilized to bring the police communication system in line with the requirements of modern times and make it more secure.
