Summary for creation of 289 new posts for recruitment of wards of Shuhada of ex-Levies and Khasadars in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police.
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi held Video link conference with the Regional Police Officers in which the IGP was given a detailed briefing about the welfare of Ex-Levis and Khasadars shuhada package and enlistment of shuhada children in the force. The IGP was told that in the war against terror the ex-Levis and Khasadars rendered unprecedented sacrifices of their precious lives and 289 officials embraced martyrdom in the line of duty. These shuhada included 98 from Khyber district, 14 from Mohmand, 38 from Bajaur, 60 from Kurram, 4 from Orakzai, 42 from North Waziristan, 2 from South Waziristan,23 from sub division Hassan Khel, 6 from sub division Wazir and 2 from sub division Bettani. The IGP was further informed that shuhada package had been given to the heirs of all these shuhada after merger in the KP Police, however, their children could not be enlisted in Police due to the non-availability of vacancies. The IGP was further briefed that the heirs of these shuhada had submitted their applications for enlistment in the force, out of which only 48 children of the shuhada are eligible, added that 37 are overage, 64 are under qualified and 77 are under age (minor children).
The IGP was also briefed that in order to recruit children of all police shuhada in the force 289 new vacancies are to be created and relaxation in age should be given. The IGP was further briefed that 225 new vacancies of constables and 64 post class IV are required as per the educational qualification of the shuhada children.
Addressing on the occasion the IGP Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi said that the sacrifices rendered by the ex-Levis and Khasadars for the defense and solidarity of the country will go a long way in the annals of history added due to which peace and tranquillity prevailed in the province. The IGP said that the whole nation are indebted to these sacrifices and directed the participants to take full care of the heirs of these national heroes and assured that all available resources would be utilized for the welfare the shuhada families.
In light of the directives of the IGP a summary for creation of 289 new vacancies and relaxation in the age limit has already been sent to the Government for approval.
