Provincial Minister Shaukat Yusufzai visits Shahkas Police Training Center.
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Moazzam Jah Ansari has said that mainstreaming of former Levies and Khasadars was a huge task, however KP police has successfully achieved substantial results in this regard.
This, he said, while presenting welcome address on the occasion of inaugural ceremony of Shahkas Police Training Center District Khyber today. Provincial Minister for Labour and Manpower Shaukat Yusufzai was the chief guest on the occasion while Director INL, US Counsel General Peshawar, IG Frontier Corps, Provincial Ministers and Members Provincial Assembly largely attended the ceremony. The IGP said that the situation at Pak-Afghan border are heading towards peace and hoped that the world would be benefited from the peace placed in this part of the world. He said that priorities had been fixed for promoting best policing in the newly merged districts and added that so far 17000 Levies and Khasadars had been imparted basic training while the rest of the jawans would be trained till end of June 2022. The IGP further went on to say that standardized and latest modern training are being imparted to the jawans in the center. He informed that the NMDs police would also be trained in the specialized schools to enhance their capacity building. The IGP said that police training school Shahkas was the focal point for the NMDs police training added that in future this great asset would be turned into police center of excellence by the Grace of Almighty. The IGP informed that Pak Army and police are strategic partner in the war against terror and held in high esteem the role played by the Army in imparting best training to the levies and Khasadars. The IGP vowed that the partnership for bringing peace and prosperity to the whole region would be kept continue in future too and the facilities provided in the Shahkas Police Training Center would be utilized for lasting peace. The IGP thanked the INL on construction of new police posts and buildings in PTS Shahkas. The IGP also presented souvenirs and shields to the honourable guests on the occasion.
