IGP Nasir Khan Durrani, awards to Timargara, Mardan and DI Khan police
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani today awarded Mardan , Lower Dir and DI Khan police officials on excellent performance against dacoits, proclaimed offenders and heroin smugglers in a ceremony held at CPO Peshawar today.
According to details the lower Dir police had arrested an accused within 20 hours who had snatched Rs. 60 lakh from one Jami Ullah and on resistance had hit and killed him on the spot. The looted money were also recovered from the accused. The police reached to the accused through a mobile phone sim recovered form the spot. Similarly the Mardan police had arrested a proclaimed offender cum extortionist namely Waqar s/o Zarwar r/o Garyala Mardan charged in ten different cases. Beside killing two police jawans he had also killed 5 persons in one case. Like wise the DI Khan police had recovered 115 Kg heroin and arrested the accused on the spot. Addressing on the occasion the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani appreciated the excellent performance of the police in the above mention cases and directed the awardees to further pull up their sleeves against the out laws and nip in bud their nefarious designs. The IGP awarded the police officials with cash prizes and commendation certificates. They included Mardan DSP rural Fazle Wahid, SHO Ghafir Ullah, ASIs Azam Khan and Javed Khan, Timergara SDPO Adenzai Hidayat Ullah Shah, SHO inspector Roshan Zada, SHO inspector Said Zaman and inspector Naeem Khan and DI Khan police sub inspector Muhammad Ramzan and constables Muhammad Aslam and Muhammad Din.
