IGP Nasir khan Durrani, visit Mardan NADRA office
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has recommended the name of Shaheed Pervez to the provincial govt for a highest Civil National Gallantry award.

It is pertinent to mention that the shaheed Pervez displayed extraordinary courage and bravery to prevent the suicide bomber from breaching into the main premises despite the all out efforts of the suicide bomber. The security guard grabbed him in front of the main gate of the building for quite some time but unfortunately the suicide bomber blew himself up resulting in heavy casualties. It may be recalled that if the suicide bomber had been successful in making an ingress into the main premises of NADRA where there were present a large number of people the human loss would have been much higher.

The IGP in his letter to the chief Minister Pervez Khattak has mentioned that ''Although security guard 'Pervez' has scarified his life, but by this valiant act of his, he was able to save lives of many more people''. The letter further reads ''this security guard need to be acknowledged at the highest forum and his name be recommended for a National gallantry award, his one son be provided job and sufficient compensation to be paid to his family''.

Meanwhile the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani visited the residence of shaheed security guard Pervez at Gujrat Bakhshali, Mardan where he condoled with the bereaved family. He prayed to Al-Mighty Allah to rest the departed soul in an eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the deceased family to bear this irreparable loss. The IGP also visited the district Headquarters Hospital Mardan where he enquired after the health of the injured persons of the yesterday suicide blast. The IGP straight went to the beds of each injured person and enquired after their health. The IGP directed the doctors present on duty to provide best medical treatment to the injured persons.

DIG Mardan Saeed Wazir and DPO Mardan Shehzad Faisal also accompanied the IGP on this occasion.
