KP Police sign MOU with Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan |

A Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) was signed between police school of public disorder and riot management Mardan and Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan in a ceremony held at CPO Peshawar. DIG Training Muhammad Ali Gandapur and Registrar Abdul Wali Khan University Sher Alam Khan signed the agreement in this regard. The ceremony was also attended by DIG Headquarters Muhammad Alam Shinwari, DIG Investigation Dr. Masood Saleem, Director Police School Col (R) Zafar Gul and Principal Police School Mushtaq Ahmad while the university was represented by registrar and his team. The purpose of MOU is to create an environment of cooperation and collaboration between Abdul Walli Khan University and police school of public disorder and riot management. Both the parties will work jointly for research, development and capacity building of trainee police and students of the university. They also agreed to cooperate with each other in training officers in areas like mob handling, negotiation skills, mob psychology, use of anti-riot equipment and handling of emergencies, improving the quality of training, education and research, exchange of trainees, attachment of university students as internee with police school, access to physical resources, academic facilities, Training aids and research, lectures by university faculty, organizing of workshops and seminars, evaluation of courses at school of PD & RM and organizing collaborative activities for mutual benefit. It may be recalled that last month a meeting between various public and private universities and other educational institutions and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police high ups had been held at CPO in which the need was felt to get mutual benefit from each other experiences in the respective fields.  |
