Crime and Terrorism Journalists Forum (CTJF) delegation met with IGP KP
A six-member delegation of the newly elected cabinet of Crime and Terrorism Journalists Forum (CTJF) called on the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani at his office, CPO Peshawar today.

The delegation was led by its president Tariq Waheed (Samaa News) and its other member included Hassan Jehanrigi (Dawn News), Qaiser Khan (Daily Jang), Salman Yusufzai ( Frontier Post), Malik Rizwan ( Akhbar-e- Khyber) and Kashif Khan (Nawa-e- Waqt). The president of the forum introduced the newly elected members to the IGP. He while pinpointing the petty hurdles and confronting problems faced by the journalists community in better dispensation of journalistic duty also presented few suggestions and stressed the need for better coordination with police force. Talking with the delegation the IGP informed that injustice was being done with this province having centuries old rich tradition and history and added that great responsibility devolves on the shoulder of the media men to highlight the true image of the province which was in transformation stage and urged them to make best use of its pen for positive activities and promote the habit of reading of news amongst its readers. The IGP further informed that media serve as a beacon of light for the police force and on its pointation steps are being adopted for bringing improvement in the force. The IGP appreciated the maturity level of the media men of the province by terming it best in the country and hoped that they will perform its sacred duty as per need of the time. The police chief welcomed their suggestions and assured that close liaison with the journalist will be kept continued and they will be extended all possible help to perform its professional duty in a dignified and excellent manner. The newly elected cabinet of the form while commending the police initiatives also assured full cooperation to the force.
