IGP KP Nasir khan Durrani, awarded Peshawar Police
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has awarded Peshawar police officers on excellent performance against kidnappers in a ceremony held at CPO Peshawar today.

As per details some unknown persons kidnapped Manu Cheher, a Pakistan citizen who returned from America recently from the jurisdiction of Tehkal police station and demand Rs. 50 million as a ransom money. A special team was constituted with the effect to ensure safe recovery of the abductees. The kidnappers after making call for ransom powered off the mobile and change their position continuously. The police team raided various places after receiving calls from there. In this connection a raid was conducted in Regi after the mobile location was identified and recovered the abductee Manu Cheher. The police also arrested the kidnapper namely Fawad. Later on the court awarded life imprisonment to the kidnapper Fawad. Addressing on the occasion the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani appreciated the professional efforts of the Peshawar police team for the safe recovery of the abductee. The IGP informed that protection of life, honour and property was the prime responsibility of the police and directed the awardees to accept ever incident as a challange and put its best for working out it. On this occasion the IGP awarded SDPO city II Attiq Shah, SHO Police station Gulbahar Inspector Javed Akhtar, SHO Police station Pistkhara Sub Inspector Umar Khan, ASI Zahid Khan and constables Bashir, Ishaq, Tariq Khan and Naseem with cash prizes and commendation certificates.

Principal staff officer to IGP Muhammad Afzal was also present on this occasion.
