IGP KP Nasir khan Durrani, Visit Charsadda
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has that the establishment of Model Police Station, in the province reflect the real changes in thinking, behavour and priorities of the police.

This he said while addressing the gathering on the occasion of the inaugural ceremony of Model Police Station Sardheri (Charsadda) today. Elected representatives, Distt: Nazim Charsadda, elite of the area, members of the Aitabar team, Additional IGP Headquarters, Regional Police Officer Mardan, DPO Charsadda, DCO Charsadda and othr high raking civil and police officers largely attended the function. The IGP pointed out that the establishment of model police station was the need of the hour which are being established to restore the dignity of the common men and give them honour and respect seeking solution of their problems at thana level. The IGP further informed that majority of the police station in the province were in externally dilapidated condition and 50% police station were established in rented buildings. He said with the establishment of the model police station the common men will feel better and will find friendly environment for solution of their confronting problems. The IGP further elaborated that the staff of the model police station had been trained and they have been imparted basic necessary training how to deal with and help the complainants by wining their hearts and minds through better pubic dealing and hoped that the complainant must be impressed from the behaour and dealing of the staff. The IGP also referred to the rich qualities and peculiar culture and tradition of the people of the province and added that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police are not only courageous but are also intelligence enough and he was proud of the fact to lead this force in his professional career. The IGP reminded that when he took over as IGP of the province, terrorism was on its peak, however he further added that due attention was given to improve professional capabilities of the force and due to these steps the incidents of terrorism had been dwindled down to 65% in the province. The IGP formally inaugurated the police station by unveiling the plaque. He went round each and every section of the police station and inspected the latest modern facilities being ensured to the complainant there. Earlier, he inaugurated the newly established office of Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) in city police station Charsadda. He went round each and every section of the different offices there and also met with its members present on the occasion and discussed with them the importance and performance of the council in respect of the solution of the petty issues of the general public. The head of the council informed the IGP that the council had solved more than 800 issues/cases of the people since its establishment which also included 90 years old enmity in which many precious lives had been lost. The IGP appreciated the performance of the council by saying that jirga culture was in the blood of the pakhtoon. The IGP disclosed that Pubic Liaison Councils (PLCs) members would be engaged to pin point the enmity between the people in their respective areas to the DRCs members and the later will make their efforts for ending these enmities. The IGP also directed for bringing all the proceeding of the DRC on the record and keeping it safe. Later on, the IGP inspected the Under construction work of Police Assistance Line in Charsadda and directed for its early completion. Talking to media men he said that efforts are being made for increasing the man power of the force while the case of the up-gradation of different rank jawan of the force had been sent to the govt for approval. He informed that police throughout the country should be provided equal incentives and other services facilities.
