IGP KP Mr.Nasir Khan Durrani today visited Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani today visited Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar where he enquired after the health of police jawan and civilians injured in yesterday terrorist incident.

On arrival to the hospital the IGP straight went to the beds of police constable Hazrat Bilal and other civilians admitted there and enquired after their health. The IGP also briefed himself from the doctors about the nature of the injuries and the treatment given to them. The IGP appreciated the valour and unprecedented bravery exhibited by them against the dreaded terrorists. The IGP also went to the Intensive Care Unite (ICU) where he enquired after the health of injured constable Fazal Elahi and Muhammad Ishtiaq and briefed himself from them about the modus operandi of the terrorists. The IGP termed both the jawan real asset and proud of the whole nation. The injured constables vowed that after recovery from the injuries they will again go to the field and will fight the enemy of the state till the last drop of their blood. While talking to the mediamen the IGP informed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police had the spirit of fight back and was capable enough to meet any eventualities effectively and this was practically demonstrated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police from time to time in the filed. To a question the IGP said that the suicide bombers entered to district Charsadda from Afghanistan via Mohmand Agency added that last week the Charsadda police had arrested four terrorists alongwith suicide jackets and police uniform while one terrorist had been killed in the encounter with the police on this occasion. To a question the IGP disclosed that facilitators of the yesterday terrorist attack had been identified and very soon they will be apprehended and brought to justice. About the threat alert, the IGP said police force was fully alert to foil the nefarious designs of the terrorists. To another question the IGP said that CPEC was a game changer for the economy of the country and the enemy of the state were hatching conspiracy against it through terrorist activities. The IGP appreciated the achievements of Zarb-e-Azab operation in the tribal areas and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police performance in the settled areas against the terrorists added that in the last two years more then 1200 hard core terrorists had been arrested by the CTD and challaned to the Court. To another question the IGP stressed the need for more strict checking on Pak-Afghan border. The IGP also informed that provincial govt would be approached for special bravery award for the police jawans. The IGP thanked the whole nation particularly the mediamen for unflinching support and encouragement of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police in the yesterday terrorist incident and stressed the need for collective efforts for combating terrorism in the country. Earlier, the IGP presented flowers and cash award to the injured and directed the doctors for ensuring best medical treatment to them.

Chief Capital City Police Muhammad Tahir Khan, DIG Mardan Muhammad Ijaz Khan, SSP Operation Peshawar Muhammad Sajjad Khan and PSO to IGP Muhammad Ashfaq Anwar also accompanied the police chief on this occasion.
