IGP KP Nasir khan Durrani, awarded Bannu Police
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani awarded Bannu Police Officials on excellent performance of foiling explosive laden vehicle attack on Madan police station in a ceremony held at CPO Peshawar today.

As per details the terrorists tried to slam 250 kg explosive laden vehicle into a Mandan police station building at wee hours i.e at 5:10 am the other day. A police sentry performing duty at the top of the building become alert at the suspicious speed of the vehicle and spotted the vehicle through his torch. The suicide attacker sensed the alertness of the guard late at night detonated himself in panic at the first barrier of the police station which partially damaged the gate and walls of the police station. Addressing the ceremony the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani eulogized the bravery, gallantry act and alertness of the police late at night and becoming stumble block in the way of terrorists. The IGP further informed that the Bannu police had added another feathers of exemplary policing in the rich cap of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police. The IGP said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police performing alert duty late at night will never taste a defeat from the terrorists and directed the awardees to bring more laurels for the force due to professional commitment and sheer hard work round the clock. The IGP awarded LHC Rehan and Constables Muddasir and Alamdar with cash prizes and commendation certificates.
